Roast pork and grilled lamb
Black fruit, cherry and light mocha aromas lead onto a palate with a fresh and persistent mousse. Red berry flavours, a hint of clove, and balancing acidity, all lead to a dry finish.
One of Portugal's largest and most progressive producers with 600 hectares spread across estates in five regions from Douro in the north to Alentejo in the south. Produced in the Bairrada (DOC) region, situated between the Atlantic coast and the mountains south of Porto, this is a unique wine growing area dominated by the grape variety Baga. The climate is maritime with hot days and cold nights during grapes maturation. The vineyards are on gentle slopes of a mixture of clay and sandy soils.
Grapes are harvested between the end of August and early September. The wine spends 24 months in bottle before 'dégorgement'.
